We are Chelsea and Emmett—parents and the founders of this brand, born from our passion for creating the perfect environment for little ones. Based in Connecticut, we set out to build a collection of baby home goods and essentials that not only reflect our values but also meet the needs of today’s families.
Our journey began years ago when we met while working for one of the world’s largest toy manufacturers, amassing nearly 30 years of combined experience. As we started our family, we realized there was a gap in the market for baby products that were not only stylish and minimalist but also practical and safe. We wanted items that were made in the USA, mold-resistant, and designed to grow with our children—all while adding a touch of elegance to our spaces.
Our brand name comes straight from the heart of our family. It’s a nod to an old tale of a lighthouse keeper who would use the light to flash “143” home to his family each night—a father’s way of saying "I love you" from across the water. It’s how we’ve always told each other "we love you" in our family, and now it’s the foundation of our brand. We chose 243 baby® to carry that love forward, pouring it into everything we create for you and your little ones.
